Evaluation Question 4
Who would be the audience for your media product?
INTENDED AUDIENCE
Our films intended audience when we planned was teenagers and young adults aged between 15-25, as not only is this the common cinema going age, but also being the same age we felt it would be easier to appeal to this audience.
RESEARCH
CONCLUSION
To conclude: our primary audience is males between 15-25, however we believe woman could easily become secondary audiences, particularly as woman are generally fond of drama films that emotionally moving, which is something that would definitely appear as the film progresses and is even present in the start as audiences evoke pathos for JJ. We also imagine older parents may also become a secondary audience, particularly when the film is available on DVD or streaming sights as it offers a glimpse into what their child may do without them present and what they may engage in.

RESEARCH
After showing our first draft to our classmates (16-17), the response seemed positive. It had (like we hoped) engaged with our target audience as classmates said it seemed "more relatable" . However we quickly learned the main audience was definitely male, however our small sample size consisting of few girls meant we couldn't get a firm understanding of how much this film would engage woman, because of this we decided to would be best to focus on men anyway as our audience, and so we took away sound from the mum's voicemail and allowed our film to become slightly more thriller like by challenging and developing common conventions of drama to fit our film.
